Before initial use, apply a teaspoon of vegetable oil onto a cloth and rub it over the entire cutting board surface. This initial oiling will darken the wood. Stand the board vertically and allow it to dry, then repeat the oiling process one more time. Ensure the oil is fully absorbed, then wash the board carefully.

To maintain the board, sprinkle the surface with salt and rub it with half a lemon each month. The salt helps remove food residue, while the lemon juice acts against odours. After cleaning, rinse the board with hot water and dry it with a clean cloth.
