Traditional Tagine Pot

Introduction

The tagine pot comes in two parts, each having a smooth exterior. There is a circular, low stockpot that holds the ingredients for the dish one intends to prepare. The other is a red-colored conical cover that sits on the pot throughout the process of cooking. What makes a tagine pot so special, is that the conical cover-lid traps all the condensation happening and returns the vapors to the bottom. The smart design enhances the flavorings added to the food.

Popularly known as the Moroccan portable oven, the tagine pot has been around for many years. Stews involving vegetables or braised pieces of meat, sauce-based recipes, or soups – all can be prepared using the tagine pot.
